Deanston – Enter To Win a trip for two to Scotland
THIS CONTEST IS OPEN TO ALBERTA RESIDENTS ONLY AND IS GOVERNED BY CANADIAN LAW.
The Deanston – Enter to Win a trip for two to Scotland Contest (hereinafter, the “Contest”) is being held by Peter Mielzynski Agencies Ltd. (hereinafter, the “Sponsor(s)”). The Contest starts at 12:00:01 p.m. Mountain Standard Time (“ MST”) on June 4 2024 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m Mountain Standard Time (“ MST”) on July 1 2024 (the “Contest Period”).
The Contest is open to legal residents of ALBERTA, Canada who are eighteen (18) years of age and older at the time they enter the Contest. Employees, administrators, agents or representatives of Peter Mielzynski Agencies Ltd (PMA), suppliers of services or prizes, and any other companies directly or indirectly involved in the Contest, including their subsidiaries or affiliates, Contest judges and any immediate family of said excluded individuals and any people with whom they are living are not eligible to enter or win the Contest. “Immediate family” means parents, siblings, children, spouses. PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE CONTEST IF YOU ARE INELIGIBLE. Participants must have valid identification and/or documentation in order to be eligible to win the prize. To be admissible, your ENTRY must be received within the Contest Period. All eligible Entries received during the Contest period will be entered into the random draw.

To enter, fully complete the online entry form, which requires you to enter the all information as indicated on the entry form, and agree to the terms and conditions of these Official Rules and Regulations (the “Rules”).
To be eligible, your Entry must be received within the Contest Period. All eligible Entries received during the Contest Period will be entered into the random prize draw (see Rule 5).
There is a limit of one (1) Entry per person/email address/phone number permitted during the Contest Period. For greater certainty, you can only use one (1) email address to enter the Contest. If it is discovered that you have attempted to:
Use of any automated system to enter or otherwise participate in this Contest is prohibited and will automatically result in disqualification.
All Entries must be received by 11:59:59 p.m Mountain Standard Time (“ MST”) on July 1, 2024.
On July 3, 2024 (the “Draw Date”) in ALBERTA at approximately 9:00:00 a.m Mountain Standard Time (“ MST”), one (1) eligible entrant will be selected by random draw from
among all eligible Entries received during the Contest Period. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible Entries received during the Contest Period.
The Store Manager and Sponsor(s) or its designated representative will make three (3) attempts to contact the selected entrant(s) by telephone or email (using the information provided on the ballot entry form at the time of entry) within three (3) business days of the Draw Date. If a selected entrant cannot be contacted within three (3) attempts or three (3) business days of the Draw Date (whichever occurs first), or there is a return of any notification as undeliverable; then that selected entrant will be disqualified and the Sponsor(s) reserves the right, in its sole discretion and subject to time constraints, to randomly select an alternate eligible entrant from among the remaining eligible Entries.
BEFORE BEING DECLARED A WINNER, the selected entrant(s) will be required to: (a) correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question without mechanical or other aid; and (b) review and agree to the following attestation and release:
ATTESTATION AND RELEASE: I attest that I have read the official rules of the Deanston trip to Scotland Contest and state that I have complied with them and meet all the conditions of eligibility laid down in the official contest rules.
Subject to the accuracy of the answer given to the mathematical skill-testing question, I attest that I have accepted the following prize: One (1) Deanston trip to Scotland.
Furthermore, I, on my own behalf and on behalf of my heirs and successors, release employees or representatives of Deanston, PMA Canada and Wine & Beyond and their respective subsidiaries, advertising or promotional agencies or members of the immediate family (defined as parents, children, siblings and spouse) or household of such employees or representatives from all liability respecting any damage or loss resulting from participation in this contest or arising from the awarding, acceptance or use of the prize.
Finally, if applicable, I agree that my name and/or my picture, notably my photograph, and/or my voice may be used for advertising purposes connected with this contest, free of charge.
If a selected entrant: (a) fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question; and/or (b) fails to agree with the attestation and release at the time of entry then he/she will forfeit the prize and Sponsor(s) reserves the right, in its sole discretion and subject to time constraints, to randomly select an alternate eligible entrant from among the remaining eligible Entries for the applicable Region.
The following conditions apply to the prize:
All Entries become the property of the Sponsor(s). The Releasees assume no responsibility for lost, delayed, incomplete, incompatible or misdirected Entries. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. The decisions of the Sponsor(s) with respect to all aspects of this Contest are final and binding on all entrants without right of appeal, including, without limitation, any decisions regarding the eligibility/disqualification of Entries and/or entrants.
Deanston and PMA Canada shall not be held responsible for any error or omission related to the printing or advertising of this Contest.
Deanston and PMA Canada, its affiliates, administrators, partners, directors, employees, agents and representatives (the “Released Parties”) shall not be held liable for defective functioning of any computer hardware or software, lines of communication, or network communications related to the loss or absence of network communications or any other defective, incomplete, incomprehensible or erased transmission via any computer, network or server that could limit or render impossible the capacity for any person to participate in the Contest. The Released Parties assume no responsibility or liability for lost, late, unintelligible/illegible, falsified, damaged, misdirected or incomplete Entries, Releases, notifications, responses, or replies.
The Releasees will not be liable for any failure of the Website during the Contest; for any technical malfunction or other problems relating to the telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment or software; for the failure of any information to be provided by the Contest Parties for any reason including, but not limited to, technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website; or any combination of the above. Further, the Releasees will not be liable for any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading any material in the Contest.
All Entries are subject to verification. The Sponsor(s) reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to require proof of identity and/or eligibility (in a form acceptable to the Sponsor(s)) to participate in this Contest. Failure to provide such proof in a timely manner may result in disqualification. The sole determinant of the time for the purposes of a valid Entry in this Contest will be the Contest server machine(s).
The Sponsor(s) reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to withdraw or amend this Contest (or to amend these Rules) in any way, in the event of an error, technical problem, computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsor(s) that interferes with the proper conduct of this Contest as contemplated by these Rules. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor(s) reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law. The Sponsor(s) reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this Contest, or to amend these Rules without prior notice or obligation, for any reason whatsoever including in the event of any accident, printing, administrative, or other error of any kind.
By entering this Contest, each entrant expressly consents to the Sponsor(s), its agents and/or representatives, storing, sharing and using the personal information submitted with his/her Entry only for the purpose of administering the Contest and in accordance with Sponsor(s)’s privacy policy, unless the entrant otherwise agrees.
The Released Parties are hereby totally absolved of any responsibility for any damage or loss that could be directly or indirectly caused in part or in whole by uploading or downloading any software or information including the transmission of any information related to participating in the Contest.
In the event of any discrepancies between the English language rules and the non-English language rules, the English rules shall prevail.
By participating in this Contest, attempting to do so, or accepting the prize, all participants agree to release and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all liability, including without limitation, for any loss, harm, damage, injury, cost or expense, personal injury and/or death,
which may occur in connection with participant’s participation in the Contest, or possession, acceptance, participation and/or use or misuse of the prize and for any claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy. Deanston and PMA Canada are not responsible if the Contest cannot take place or if any element of the prize does not take place or cannot be awarded due to reasons outside of Deanston and PMA Canada’s control including weather.
All participants hereby agree not to deliberately interrupt or corrupt the smooth running of the Contest, not to stop other people from participating in the Contest, and not to interfere with the legitimate running of the Contest. Furthermore, they agree not to, in any way, act contrary to the Rules with the understanding that any such act shall result in automatic disqualification of the participant and that he or she may be prosecuted under the full force of the law at Deanston and PMA Canada’s discretion.
The use or reproduction of any copyright material or trademark related to this Contest is strictly prohibited, except with the prior express written consent of the rights holder.
In the event that an authority with jurisdiction declares any portion of these Rules invalid, illegal or unenforceable, said judgement shall not in any way affect any other aspect of these Rules, which shall remain valid and in effect. This Contest is void where prohibited by law.
